Last year, thanks to the generosity of the Perth Clean NRG Solar family and friends, we collected a container full of donated children’s clothes, books, toys, hats, paper, stationery and shoes.

Thanks to you, we touched the lives of many children and with your help we want to do it all over again!

The donations will be sorted and distributed to a local community on the island of Cebu, Philippines.

What do you need to do to get involved?

Bring your boxed donations (not taped up please) to our new premises – anytime Monday – Friday 9am-5pm: Clean NRG Solar, 1/7 Leeway Court, Osborne Park

Please have all donations delivered by 14 December 2018.

A message from Craig Donohue (Clean NRG Solar Managing Director)

How did this all come about?

“Following a trip to the Philippines to visit my son Sam in Cebu, I noticed local kids had only 3 books (yes 3!) to share among the community. Shortly after returning back to Perth we started collecting donations of books, clothing, paper, toys, shoes, hats, stationery for the kids. If you have any donations to spare, please pop in with your donations to Clean NRG Solar, 1/7 Leeway Court, Osborne Park.

“The Cebu, Philippines Clean NRG Solar Charity Run 2017 was so rewarding and we all really enjoyed seeing the smiles on the local children’s faces. Some of the kids had never seen such volumes of clothes, books and toys. It was really fulfilling bringing them all together like this.” says Sam, Donohue.

About the Island of Cebu

Cebu is the hub around which the Visayas revolve. It is the most densely populated island in the Philippines and is second only to Luzon in its strategic and economic importance to the country. “The whole of Cebu had a poverty incidence of 21.4%. Assuming Cebu City had a poverty incidence of 10%, the province would have a poverty incidence of 24.3%. The provincial poverty rate is more than double the city’s poverty rate.” says Rolando T. Dy, Business World.
